Fertility Help For Families

TV star Bill Rancic supports educating more Americans about embryo donation.

(NAPSI)—Women and men having difficulty trying to start a family are not alone-and may have more opportunities than they realize.

One in eight U.S. couples of childbearing age is diagnosed with infertility. Some need advanced medical treatment, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF). Unused frozen embryos are stored in fertility clinics across the country. Most individuals who have embryos in storage plan to use them for future family-building efforts, but some who choose not to use the embryos may consider embryo donation.

To help more people appreciate this possibility, The Style Network’s Bill Rancic—who, with his wife Giuliana, is publicly dealing with their own fertility struggle—is working with RESOLVE: The National Infertility Association, on its Destination: Family campaign. This is a multimedia resource, funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, with social media extensions on Facebook and Twitter, that offers potential embryo recipients and donors information on the medical, legal and mental health issues surrounding embryo donation.
